AceShowbiz - While fans are thrilled to have Mischa Barton joining MTV's reboot of "The Hills", some certain people are apparently not. Heidi Pratt and Spencer Pratt are reportedly not exactly excited with the new addition, fearing that "The O.C." alum will "steal the spotlight."

Life & Style magazine further reports that reality TV's most hated couple has "already begun plotting ways to get Mischa kicked off." The reaction, however, is exactly how the producers want.

"Mischa was hired to stir up drama," said a source to the news outlet. She is set to "keep viewers glued to their screens."

It arrives after the three were spotted filming a scene for the upcoming reboot titled "The Hills: New Beginnings" on Tuesday, October 16. The trio was photographed leaving Bottlefish in Brentwood, California, after grabbing dinner together.

Barton was mostly known for her role as Marissa Cooper on FOX's "The O.C." which debuted in 2003. The series was later made into a spin-off "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" which aired on MTV. The network later premiered "The Hills", which served as "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" spin-off.

First announced in August on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards, the series will also star Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Frankie Delgado, Jason Wahler, Justin "Bobby" Brescia, Stephanie Pratt and Whitney Port. Meanwhile, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari are not returning for the reboot.

"The Hills: New Beginnings" will follow the cast members as well as their new friends and families as they navigate their personal and professional lives in Los Angeles. The show will also star newcomers Kaitlynn Carter, Jennifer Delgado and Ashley Wahler.

The revival will premiere sometime in 2019.
