AceShowbiz - Another A-list music star has apparently weighed in on Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's feud. After Beyonce Knowles allegedly picked side in the ongoing rivalry between the two rappers, now Rihanna is believed to have shown which side she's on.
The "Umbrella" songstress is unfollowing the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker on Instagram, an action which many assume as a symbol of her support for Cardi's nemesis Nicki. Affirming this speculation, Rihanna is still following Nicki on the social media platform.
Prior to the feud, Rih occasionally commented on Cardi's posts. The Barbadian beauty reportedly clicked the unfollow button on Thursday, September 13, the same night she launched her new Savage x Fenty lingerie collection at New York Fashion Week.
Met backstage after the show, Rihanna urged women to wear lingerie not just to impress men. "When lingerie is for you, you never lose your sexiness," she told the press. "I feel like a lot of times women do the lingerie thing to get the ring, and then they get the ring, and then it's like, 'OK, we're here. [Now what?]' "
Back to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's feud, Beyonce was previously believed to have picked side when she posted on her website a photo of the "Starship" rapper's mug shot at her and Jay-Z's "On the Run II" tour. The "Starships" raptress' mug shot has been used along with photos of Snoop Dogg, Kimora Lee Simmons and 50 Cent since the start of Bey and Jay-Z's joint tour as a backdrop to Jay-Z's song "99 Problems". But it was the first time Bey posted the photo on her official website, which coincidentally happened after Nicki and Cardi's brawl.
Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown is allegedly supporting Nicki as well. A source told HollywoodLife.com, "Chris is loving the drama between Nicki and Cardi. He is glad this is one beef that he is not involved in, so he can enjoy all the action and just watch. He has known Nicki for years and is on her team for this one."
