Rumors of their collaboration spark after a fan runs the group's 'IDOL' music video teaser on Shazam and discovers that the femcee is supposed to be featured on the track.

AceShowbiz - This is surely surprising. Fans of BTS (Bangtan Boys) and Nicki Minaj collectively lost their mind when rumors of their collaboration started circulating on the internet. The speculation first arose after the seven-piece group unveiled a teaser for their upcoming "IDOL" music video.

The 41-second clip itself features the seven boys wearing traditional Korean clothes in a bright yellow pavilion. They are also seen performing a brief traditional dance moves towards the end of the clip, before the scene cuts to Jungkook smirking to the camera.

Shortly after the teaser was released, one fan ran the clip through Shazam app and discovered something shocking as a result. It turns out Nicki is supposedly featured on the track. Several others then followed suit and got the same result.

Nothing has been confirmed yet as of now, but the "Bang Bang" hitmaker appeared to fuel the rumors when she liked tweets mentioning the collaboration. Meanwhile, BTS hasn't responded to the speculation.

"IDOL" is set to serve as the lead single off the South Korean group's upcoming album "Love Yourself: Answer". The music video for the track is supposed to be released on the same day as the album's release date, August 24.

In support of the album, the group is scheduled to embark on a world tour which will kick off on August 25 and 26 in Seoul. During the trek, they will make a new history by becoming the first Korean act to play a stadium tour in the U.S. The boyband is set to perform at the City Field in New York City on October 6. 40,000 seats were made available for the show, it sold out within minutes.

On the other hand, Nicki released her highly-anticipated album "Queen" earlier this month. The effort debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart.
