AceShowbiz - Beyonce once interrupted a romantic date for celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann when the superstar called on her services in the middle of the night.
The Halo hitmaker had been working through the night back in the late 1990s when she decided to get her nails done, and asked if the popular beautician was available for a last-minute session.
"I remember when I was dating my husband, he was over at my house one night, and my phone rang at one o'clock in the morning, and it was Beyonce's people," Lippmann recalled to The Cut.
"She was in the studio and she had a two-hour break, and they were like, 'Can you come to the studio now and give her a mani/pedi?' And my husband said, 'What kind of manicures do you give at one o'clock in the morning?'"
Lippmann insists the superstar's early morning request isn't as unusual as it sounds, because it wasn't the first call past midnight she's received over the years.
"It's really about the time - musical artists work a lot at night, and if their break isn't long enough to take a nap and they haven't had their nails done, it's the perfect time for a manicure," she explained, revealing she never used to turn down an A-lister's request.
"Up until the last two or three years, I don't remember ever saying no to anyone - ever," she said. "I always figured out a way to make myself available."
Luckily, the incident didn't derail Deborah's romance with her then-suitor Jude Severin and they wed in 1999 - the same year they launched her namesake cosmetics line.
