Timothy Savage claims James Mason threatened to harm him and his family during a phone call.

AceShowbiz - R. Kelly's manager is wanted by police over allegations he threatened a father who has accused the singer of sexually exploiting his daughter.

Police officers in Henry County, Georgia tell TMZ they have issued an arrest warrant for James Mason, who Timothy Savage claims threatened to harm him and his family during a phone call.

The worried dad and his wife Jonjelyn hit the headlines last year after they accused the R&B superstar, real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, of brainwashing their daughter Joycelyn and other young women into abusive relationships they dubbed a "sex cult".

Savage went to the police in May, alleging Mason called him and threatened: "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f**king kill you."

According to TMZ, officers investigating the matter now want to arrest Kelly's manager for terroristic threats and acts.

The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer has been plagued by accusations of inappropriate sexual behaviour ever since the Savages and the parents of another girl made their sex cult claims in a BuzzFeed News expose last summer.

Since then, former associates and girlfriends have claimed Kelly kept women in controlling relationships by restricting their contact with the outside world - with one ex alleging he had boasted about grooming a girl as young as 14.

Although he has denied the claims, campaigners have demanded music industry executives and promoters cut ties with the star. Police have also visited his home in Atlanta, Georgia to investigate the claims but he is yet to be charged with a crime.

Last month, the 51-year-old provoked outrage by releasing I Admit, a 19-minute song addressing the allegations, his 2008 acquittal on child pornography charges and rumours he married late singer Aaliyah when she was underage.

In the song's lyrics he admitted to having lots of sexual partners, but denied he was abusive or a paedophile.
