Alongside the replica model, the British singer donates a record player, skateboard, headphones, school books and Heinz tomato sauce memorabilia to the charity.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran has donated a life-sized Lego model of his own head to a local charity shop.

The British singer is known for having the odd clear out and regularly makes generous donations to the St Elizabeth Hospice in his hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk.

Alongside the replica model, which Ed reportedly made himself while on tour, the Shape of You hitmaker also donated a record player, skateboard, headphones, school books and Heinz tomato sauce memorabilia to the charity.

"He's been really generous - every now and again he has a clear out," hospice spokeswoman Helen Owen told the BBC.

"As Framlingham is his local shop, he thinks of us. Normally it is a few jumpers and Hoax T-shirts he wears on tour, which are great, but this time we got the head."

Helen added it was "really lovely" that the Lego model "is of him, (and) made by him".

The charity, which cares for people living with progressive and terminal illnesses, is now considering what to do with the Lego model, proposing to display it at the organisation's Ipswich hospice before possibly auctioning it.

Helen told the news outlet the charity had previously sold the singer's belongings online, but admitted it was undecided over Ed's most recent donations as it wanted to ensure local people benefit from his generosity.

According to the BBC, Ed's mother Imogen also makes regular donations of handmade jewellery to raise funds for the hospice.

"We're really grateful to the whole family," Helen smiled.
