AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood has shared another new photo of hers after the gruesome accident late last year. The country/pop star took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 4 to show her face, although only one side of her face was seen in the image.
The 35-year-old singer, who has never been seen in public since the nasty fall, is back at work in the recording studio as seen in the picture. She sported a chic sweatshirt and wore her hair in a bun as she sat in front of a microphone. She left the black-and-white snap captionless.
Carrie "took a hard fall on some steps outside her home" on November 10, her rep confirmed, adding that "while there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall."
The "American Idol" alum later gave an update on her recovery process in a post to her fan club members, writing, "I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in."
"I am grateful that it wasn't much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way," she added. "And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different."
She showed her face for the first time since the accident on February 23 in an Instagram pic dedicated to support the End It Movement. She, however, covered part of her face around her lips and chin area with a huge red "X" sign.
Report said Carrie has been "frustrated, because she feels that the scar isn't fading at all." It appeared that the scar took a long time to completely heal, but she's impatient. Her husband [ Fisher] reportedly has been a source of support. "Mike keeps reassuring Carrie that it's nowhere near as visible as she thinks it is, and that she's beautiful anyway, regardless of a scar or not, but she's definitely been struggling with self confidence recently," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
