AceShowbiz - Rachel McAdams may soon add mother to her resume. The Canada-born star is reportedly having a bun in the oven. Should the report be true, the baby will be the first child for the 39-year-old actress and her boyfriend Jamie Linden. E! News first reported McAdams' alleged pregnancy.
A representative for the "Mean Girls" star has not released a statement regarding the news. Meanwhile, the Academy Award-nominated actress only fanned the speculation as she was spotted wearing a baggy jacket and a long scarf, possibly to cover her belly, when she was last photographed at an airport in Toroto.
The Irene Adler of Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" movies, who has been keeping a low profile in recent months, was absent from the premiere of her new movie "Game Night" on Wednesday night, February 21, while her co-stars Jason Bateman, Kyle Chandler, Michael C. Hall and more walked the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California.
McAdams and Linden, a screenwriter who wrote the "Dear John" movie adaptation, first sparked dating speculation after they were spotted holding hands in the summer of 2016. She was previously romantically linked to her "The Notebook" co-star Ryan Gosling, Michael Sheen and Taylor Kitsch. Linden, meanwhile, dated "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel for two years, before calling it quits in August 2014.
The "Spotlight" star has several times opened up about her desire to start a family. In 2009, she told PEOPLE, "Having a few [kids] would be great. My mom is a great inspiration to me...She's a nurse and very nurturing and gentle. She lets me be who I am. Hopefully I can take on those qualities and be as great as her."
She also said in a 2010 interview with InStyle, "Part of me is very attached to the idea of having children. It'll depend on if I find the person I want to do that with."
