Last month, Kendrick Lamar dropped a hint on his "Love" music video that he would be releasing a soundtrack for upcoming superhero film "Black Panther". On January 4, the California-born rapper finally unveiled the track, which is titled "All the Stars" and features SZA.

The nearly-four-minute track finds the twosome trading lyrics about love and perseverance to each other. "Tell me what you gon' do to me/ Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me/ You can bring a bullet, bring a sword," K-Dot raps over the airy beats. "Bring a morgue, but you can't bring the truth to me/ F**k you and all your expectations."

"All the Stars" is the lead track off "Black Panther: The Album", which is produced by K-Dot and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. The duo works with "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler directly in the creation of the music for the film. This marks the rapper's first time of getting involved in a major motion picture and Marvel Studios' first time of creating multiple original recordings specifically for a movie.

Ryan hand-picks K-Dot for the job. He says that he is "honored to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film."

K-Dot, on the other hand, has nothing but praise for the movie. "Marvel Studios' 'Black Panther' is amazing, from its cast to its director," he says in a statement. "The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I'm truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing soung and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel's vision."

The soundtrack album will make its way out to stores on February 9. Even though the other songs are yet to be unleashed, fans can start pre-ordering the album for under $10. Meanwhile, "Black Panther" will hit theaters across the nation on February 16.
