AceShowbiz - It's confirmed! Just a day after there were rumors going around saying that Paris Hilton get engaged to Chris Zylka, the hotel heiress took to Instagram on January 2 to confirm it. Paris shared a series of pictures featuring Chris getting on his knees to propose her during their outing in Aspen, Colo.
"I said yas!" so she captioned the sweet pics before gushing over her new fiance, "So happy and excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend and soulmate. Perfect for me in every way." She added that she felt like "the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairy tales do exist."
"Paris is the most beautiful and incredible woman both inside and out," Chris told PEOPLE. "I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl. I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together."
After popping the question, the couple headed to 1OAK's pop-up party hosted by Richie Akiva and Ronnie Madra, where she told "everybody they are engaged. She looked really happy!"
Following the engagement announcement, many couldn't stop talking about Paris' diamond ring, which she described as "gorgeous" and "sparkling." Celebrity jeweler, Michael Green, told PEOPLE that the ring includes 22 carats total and is valued around $2 million.
"Paris at one point in time told Chris she really loved her mother's pear-shaped diamond, and when Chris came to me that was his request," he said of the inspiration behind the ring. "The pear-shaped really jumped out for him and ultimately for her. He did some fishing, but in the end it was all him."
Green went on saying that he and his team created the ring in two days, as Chris wanted the propose Paris in Aspen. "When he came to pick it up and opened up the box he literally started shaking," Green added. "He said, 'I can't stop shaking.' It was like taking a good size man and bringing him down to a boy size giggle."
