AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato has just treated her nearly 64 million Instagram followers to an eye-popping mirror selfie. The 25-year-old former Disney star took to the photo-sharing site on Wednesday evening, December 27 to post a photo of her flashing major cleavage in a plunging bathing suit.
The songstress sported a serious face while taking the selfie. She pulled her raven-colored locks back into a messy low ponytail. Accessorizing with a pair of large gold-hoop earrings, she opted for a pink blush and teamed it with a red lipstick.
Demi also showcased her toned legs and arms in her black-and-white striped one-piece adorned with cherry print. The "Tell Me You Love Me" hitmaker, who also showed off her intricate arm tattoos, wrote along with the snap that she's "in [love] with this bathing suit."
Though Demi is confident about her body now, she recently opened up about her struggles with an eating disorder that she admitted she had still not "conquered." She spoke candidly about her struggles in her documentary, "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated", which premiered on YouTube in October.
"Food is still the biggest challenge in my life and it controls - I don't want to give it the power to say it controls my every thought, but it's something that I'm constantly thinking about," Demi said. "It's just exhausting. I get envious of people that don't struggle with an eating disorder because I feel like my life would be so much easier."
"When I was 12 I was bullied, I developed a social anxiety where I didn't trust other girls my age," she recalled the time her disorder developed. "Then one day this girl who was popular started saying Demi should kill herself, she should slit her wrists and it resulted in a suicide petition that got passed around and she had other classmates sign it."
"When I asked them why, nobody would give me a specific reason," she continued. "I had no friends, I was alone, so I went off of what they were calling me, which was a whore and being fat. That's when my eating disorder developed."
The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer also shared a photo featuring her looking painfully thin during her struggles with the eating disorder alongside a current photo of herself looking much healthier. She said, "Recovery is possible."
