Power has been restored to The Disneyland Resort some four hours after the outage shut down at least a dozen of rides at the amusement park.

AceShowbiz - A power outage hit Disneyland during one of the busiest weeks, leaving tourists stranded on rides. Disney spokesperson Elva Rubalcava confirmed a transformer problem caused the outage in Toontown and Fantasyland on late Wednesday morning, December 27.

About 12 rides were affected by the outage, but no one was hurt. Guests on rides were escorted off by employees, but they were not asked to leave the areas. Some visitors complained about the inconvenience as they were battling heavy crowds at the park.

"Those times are insane, you really need to consider letting less people in everyday! Those poor out of town guest. They will get on like 4 rides. forget seeing both parks," one wrote on Twitter.

Another visitor complained, "They don't have any signs up saying the rides are closed. Tons of people flowing in right now clueless that they can't ride because the power is out."

"@disneyland help! I need a refund. This is horrible. We don't even want to be here anymore," another angry visitor tweeted.

Mark Freeman of Provo, Utah, who visited the park with his wife and two children, told the Associated Press, "It was just such a mad house. It was so crowded we couldn't even get out of the park. We went and got ice cream and just sat there for probably a half-hour."

One of the park's official Twitter accounts noted earlier that day that it was a very busy day. In a follow-up tweet posted on a different account, the park announced no new guests would be admitted into Disneyland. Disney California Adventure Park, however, remains open and was unaffected by the outage.

Around 3:30 P.M., Rubalcava said damage to a transformer had been repaired and power had been restored to all areas of the resort.
