CCTV Footage of Jonghyun's Last Moment Shows Him Visiting Convenience Store Before His Death

The late singer stopped by the store located on the first floor of the residential hotel he was found dead and bought some items after he sent the suicidal text message to his sister.

AceShowbiz - Jonghyun's last moment alive before he committed suicide was captured on CCTV footage. The black-and-white clip which showed the late singer, dressed in a black padded jacket, paying some items at the cashier was released by SBS News.

It's reported that the SHINee member stopped by the store located on the first floor of the residential hotel he was found dead and bought some items, right after he sent the suicidal text messages to his older sister.

A security guard also talked about Jonghyun's strange actions after leaving the convenience store. "After parking his car on the B1 floor, he stood in front of the convenience store on the same floor for a very long time," the security guard said.

The security guard added, "After checking in he got in his car and went to the road right in front of the residence and went back and forth making a lot of noise. He was stepping on the accelerator so hard that the engine was making very loud noises. After a while things got quiet and than the car came back in (to the parking lot.)"

Jonghyun was found unconscious in a residential hotel on December 18 and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 27. Police believe he died from inhaling toxic fumes as they found coal briquettes burnt on a frying pan upon arriving at the place. His family has decided not to perform autopsy.

In a final text message he sent to his sister, the idol reportedly wrote, "It's been hard. Let me go. Tell me I've worked hard. This is my farewell." Jonghyun's best friend, Dear Cloud's Nine9, has also released his final letter which revealed his struggles with depression. Another friend said the root of Jonghyun's struggle was music.

Fellow celebrities, including Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri and Sunny, BTS (Bangtan Boys), EXO's Chen and Xiumin, Super Junior's Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, Choi Siwon, Lee Donghae and Sungmin, as well as Jonghyun's ex-girlfriend Shin Se Kyung have paid respect to the late star at the mortuary. His funeral is scheduled to take place on December 21.
