AceShowbiz - More stars have paid tribute to Jonghyun following the tragic passing of the South Korean singer. Taeyeon, his labelmate and close friend, posted on Instagram a heartfelt message that expressed her love for him and her grief over his death.
She wrote along with photos of Jonghyun's performance at a concert, "That is you, and there is no one who won't love you because there is another, different you. I really like you and love you, and I want to comfort you and hug you one more time. That was something I could do, and I hate myself for losing that chance and regretting it. How sad and what a waste, our precious Jonghyun. It seems like if I called you right now, you would reply 'Yes!' in a high-tone."
"Our Jonghyun, I miss you," she added. "I'm sorry that I couldn't hug you often, I love you and thank you. I remember the entire process of you writing the song 'Lonely', which you said you wrote thinking about me. We're similar, we're alike. We know those feelings. The most special, awesome, and greatest artist in my life, Jonghyun, I miss you a lot and want to hold your hand."
"Jonghyun, you're the best. You've worked hard. I'll make sure you aren't lonely," she concluded it.
Taeyeon was also seen among mourners at Jonghyun's wake, which is held at the Seoul Asan Hospital, on Tuesday, December 19. Fans have been worried that Jonghyun's death would be a huge blow to the Girls' Generation member, who is also dealing with a similar mental health issue.
Meanwhile, Jonghyun's SHINee groupmate Key and his ex-girlfriend Shin Se Kyung have paid final respects at the mortuary. Key, who was in Portugal for a photo shoot at the time of Jonghyun's death and immediately returned to Korea, was seen sobbing as he entered the room.
Se Kyung, who dated the "Lonely" singer in 2010, came with a CEO of her agency Namoo Actors. The "Bride of Habaek" star reportedly cried inside the mortuary and only left after two hours.
Other stars spotted visiting Jonghyun at the mortuary included EXO's Chen and Xiumin, Super Junior's Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, Choi Siwon, Lee Donghae and Sungmin, IU, Red Velvet's Irene, Seulgi, Yeri, Joy and Wendy, Wanna One's Kang Daniel, Ailee, Apink's Jung Eun Ji, Kangta, Epik High, Yoo Hee Yeol and comedian Kang Ho Dong. SHINee members, meanwhile, are listed as head mourners along with Jonghyun's family.
Jonghyun was found unconscious in a residential hotel on December 18 and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 27. Police believe he died from inhaling toxic fumes as they found coal briquettes burnt on a frying pan upon arriving at the place. His funeral is scheduled to take place on December 21.
