A brand new teaser for the forthcoming "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" has been unearthed. In the 20-second teaser for the popular anthology series, FX offers a better look at Ricky Martin's character, Antonio D'Amico.

Donning a full-white tennis outfit, Ricky's Antonio, Gianni's longtime lover, is seen inside Gianni Versace's (Edgar Ramirez) lavish mansion in Miami. "I was his partner, I loved him," Antonio says in voiceover. "He was a genius."

Antonio seemingly is about to head somewhere when he suddenly hears two gun shots. It looks like he is at home at the time Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss) shot Gianni on his front steps. Antonio stops midway, and later hurries down the stairs in an obvious panic.

Also starring in the 10-episode anthology series is Penelope Cruz. She is set to portray Donatella Versace.

Based on the book "Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History" by Maureen Orth, the second season of the FX anthology series will center on the assassination of Gianni Versace in Miami in July 1997. Serial murderer Andrew, who killed five people that year, committed suicide eight days later on a house boat.

"Versace" initially was planned to air as season 3 of "American Crime Story" following "Katrina". However, the latter was pushed back from an early 2018 to late 2018 premiere, making "Versace" fill the season 2 slot.

Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, Dan Minahan and Tom Rob Smith executive produce the season alongside Ryan Murphy. Ryan also directed the premiere episode, with Tom writing the script. The series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.

"Versace: American Crime Story" will air on January 17, 2018 on FX.
