AceShowbiz - Three weeks just passed since the release of Kygo's five-track EP "Stargazing", but it seems the Norwegian DJ has already geared up for his next single. On October 9, Kygo posted a short video on Instagram featuring a lot of celebrities. He asks one simple question: what is love?
Movie actor Vin Diesel, EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers and reality television judge Simon Cowell are featured in the video. They give different answers. Some answer that their first love is a living thing, while some others admit that they are in love with a non-living thing.
For instance, tennis player Eugine Bouchard answers, "My first ever crush was on Jonas Brothers." Meanwhile, Diesel gives different answer by saying, "My first love was the art of making movie." The video ends with a dog named Doug the Pug sitting on top of "Kids in Love" paper.
It seems fans also can't wait for the release of the track as many of them bomb Kygo's Instagram post with comments. A fan wrote, "I can't wait for this... Only by watching this my eyes had tears on them. I love you Kygo, everything you are and every single thing you do/create."
In late September, the Norwegian hitmaker dropped a star-studded EP entitled "Stargazing". The EP consists of five tracks featuring top Billboard artists such as Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, U2 and more.
However, despite the surprise release of the EP, he managed to sell only 37 copies in the U.S. alone in the first week of its release. Some critics guessed that the different tune on the EP was the reason why the sales remained low. The soft melody might sound strange to fans that were originally attracted to Kygo's tropical house music.
Kygo himself said that he was happy with the outcome of the EP. He told Billboard, "Really enjoyed working with Justin Jesso on 'Stargazing' and even more excited for all my fans to hear it."
"Kids in Love" will be released on October 20.
