Ahead of its premiere, "The Gifted" offers fans a look at the first six minutes of the pilot episode. The newly-released video shows how the mutants are being hunted by the Sentinel Services.

The video opens with a scene of several police cars hunting down Clarice Fong a.k.a. Blink (Jamie Chung). Using her ability to teleport, though it doesn't seem that she's fully mastered her gift yet, she manages to break away from the cops. Meanwhile, Lorna Dane a.k.a. Polaris (Emma Dumont), Marcos Diaz a.k.a. Eclipse (Sean Teale) and John Proudstar a.k.a. Thunderbird (Blair Redford) are somewhere else, tracking on Blink with Thunderbird's ability.

The three later come to meet frightened Blink, who at first attempts to attack Eclipse. Polaris, who seemingly is in a romantic relationship with Eclipse, tries to convince Blink that they are just like her, before Thunderbird interrupts to break some bad news.

They join forces to fight against the cops with each of them unleashing their own mutant gift. They are about to get into a car and escape when a man fires a gun at Eclipse. Polaris stops to furiously attack the man, only to get caught by other cops. Meanwhile, Strucker family is nowhere to be seen in the footage, meaning that the show wants to give audiences a look at mutants' whereabout post "X-Men" world before beginning the story.

"The Gifted" tells the story of a human couple, Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Caitlyn Stucker (Amy Acker), who discover that their children are mutants. They are later forced to go on the run from the government, joining an underground network of mutants and must fight for their survival. Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White star as Reed and Caitlyn's mutant kids, Lauren and Andy respectively.

Matt Nix writes the script while Bryan Singer directs the pilot. Nix and Singer also serve as executive producers alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

"The Gifted" will premiere on Monday, October 2 at 9 P.M. on FOX.
