Maroon 5 releases a music video in support of their newest single "What Lovers Do". The vibrant clip directed by Joseph Kahn follows the band's frontman Adam Levine as he is chasing his love interest played by featured guest SZA. It kicks off with a young boy and a young girl jogging through a field and climbing a tree.

The video fast-forwards to their adulthood. He is still hot on her tail as they are racing on a running track, jet-skiing, surf-boarding, and eventually playing cards in a Las Vegas casino. His pursuit in love leaves him seriously wounded. Despite ending up in hospital, he has no regret since a certain sexy nurse tends to him.

"Let's get one thing straight now baby," the vocalist sings. "Tell me tell me if you love me or not, love me or not, love me or not /I'll bet the house on you, am I lucky or not, lucky or not, lucky or not? /You gotta tell me if you love me or not, love me or not, love me or not /Been wishin' for you, am I lucky or not, lucky or not, lucky or not?"

The new single is expected to be featured in the band's upcoming sixth studio album to follow up their 2014 studio effort "V". The album is expected to be released in November. It will also include a Future-assisted song "Cold" and a Kendrick Lamar-featured track "Don't Wanna Know".

Details of their next studio installment are unclear, but band member James Valentine said back in 2015 that they wanted "to make a more traditional record next ... like the way we made Songs About Jane, just sitting in a room with our instruments and slugging it out." He added, "It's been fun to experiment on the last couple of records with the more electronic sounds, but maybe we've gone as far as we can with that for now."
