'America's Got Talent' Season 12 Finale: Another Young Talent Wins the Competition


Ten acts went into the finale, but in the end it was a battle between two of the youngest contestants on the show.
It's time to find out the champion of "America's Got Talent" season 12. The final 10 contestants had performed on Tuesday night, September 19, and in the Wednesday final results show, they got to perform with big stars in the respective field.

Kechi Okwuchi and Angelica Hale teamed up for a rendition of "Stronger" before Kelly Clarkson joined them to sing her hit. The "American Idol" alum also performed her new single "Love So Soft".





Diavolo and Light Balance delivered dance performances. Former "Dancing with the Stars" pro Derek Hough joined Light Balance in their act, revealing himself as one of the men wearing a light suit.





The buzzed acts also returned in a pre-recorded vignette in which they hung out in warehouses and sang 80s hits with Tyra Banks. Mandy Harvey and Shania Twain belted out a moving rendition of "You're Still the One" on a fiery set, before the Canadian country music star performed her new single "Life's About to Get Good".







Darci Lynne Farmer and "AGT" season 2 winner, ventriloquist Terry Fator, took the stage together, singing "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better". Howie Mandel took standup comedian Preacher Lawson to Laugh Factory in Los Angeles where they were joined by Jerry Seinfeld.





Evie Clair sang her original song, before James Arthur joined her halfway. James was later joined by Chase Goehring to perform his hit "Say You Won't Let Go".





Next it was time for announcement the results. Mandy Harvey, Sara & Hero, Light Balance, Darci Lynn and Angelica Hale were in the Top 5, while Chase Goehring, Evie Clair, Diavolo, Preacher Lawson and Kechi lost their shot at winning the competition.

Tyra continued to announce of the results, with Sara & Hero finishing in the fifth place. Mandy placed fourth, and Light Balance landed in the third place. It's now between Angelica and Darci, two of the youngest contestants. Darci was eventually announced as the winner. She couldn't hold back her tears as reel of her journey on the show was played.
