A third party has reportedly gotten involved in Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian's nasty custody battle over their daughter, Dream Kardashian. TMZ is the first to report the news, stating that The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services has opened an investigation aimed at protecting the baby girl.

The Dept. is concerned about Dream's "well-being," sources familiar with the case tell the news outlet, adding how DCFS has gone to L.A. County Dependency Court in an attempt to have a judge determine if the little girl, who just turned 10 months old, is indeed safe.

The investigation is reportedly into Blac's alleged drug use before she split from Rob. According to official court documents, the case is also linked to a restraining order that the Lashed Bar founder filed against the 30-year-old reality TV star back in July after she accused him of domestic abuse and violating revenge porn laws.

At the time, Blac accused her baby daddy of punching her, tearing the hinges off a door, showing her a gun and threatening to kill himself with pills. "This was a really scary experience for me," she said in the sworn statement. The restraining order was filed just days after Rob posted naked photos of Blac on social media without her consent.

Blac and Rob, who split late last year, have yet to reach a custody agreement for Dream, but hopefully it will work out for the best very soon. Lisa Bloom, Blac's attorney, previously said, "We are working toward a resolution and wanted a little bit more time to see if we can get there." Lisa added, "If we can't, we are ready willing and able to go forward with a hearing on September 18."

Blac said in July that she would "never" ask a judge to keep Rob away from their daughter. "Hopefully, you know, me and Rob can learn, you know, to have common grounds and be the best co-parents as we can be. And that's all I, I can really ask for," she said on "Nightline".
