The 'Mama's Broken Heart' crooner has rescued dogs, cats and other pets after Houston and its surrounding areas were flooded.

AceShowbiz - Miranda Lambert has been busy in Texas for the past few days. The country music singer, along with members of MuttNation Foundation, helped rescue animals including dogs and cats in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

More than 230 dogs and other domesticated pets have been evacuated from Houston and its surrounding areas devastated by the natural disaster. The animals will stay in shelter until they can be reunited with their owners.

The Texan-born star shared a series of pictures from the rescue mission. "Our team is headed South!" read a message in one picture. "We are headed to Houston to give relief to municipal shelters. We will help transport any animals currently in shelters so that there is room for displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey! Plus any other support we can offer!!!"

She shared a picture of some of the animals she saved. "My roommates tonight sure are cute! Mama and newborns that were born this morning," she wrote in one image. "@muttnationfoundation rescued 72 dogs today who are being transported to dry safe shelters across the country. Thanks for yalls support. Stay tuned tomorrow and continue to pray."

In another photo, she captioned, "Update! Thanks to some amazing transportation volunteers...We sent over 70 pups to our shelter in Oklahoma today. Our rigs are now rolling into Houston for another load. Continue to send prayers and donations."

The singer hugged and kissed a puppy in a different picture, "Too tired for a full update from today but I will give yall a recap tomorrow morning about @muttnationfoundation and our efforts for #hurricaneharvey animal rescues."

She finally concluded, "Thank you to everyone for the support and prayers. We are so thankful to have been invited to help our furry friends in this time of sorrow. We will continue to do whatever we can to help. Continued prayers for Texas. #texasstrong. All of this footage was shot by myself and our team on our iPhones."
