AceShowbiz - Paramount Network has unveiled the first promo for its upcoming series "Heathers". Based on the 1988 cult film of the same name, the series is looking as fierce as what people have expected, judging by the awesome video.
The video opens with the line that will terrify you once you hear it. "Heather Chandler is looking for you," says a boy to Veronica Sawyer (Grace Victoria Cox), a character which was stunningly portrayed by Winona Ryder in the original movie.
The video later cuts to a scene featuring Heather Chandler (Melanie Field), Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell) and Heather McNamara (Jasmine Mathews) walking down the hallway to the beat of Phantogram's "Run Run Blood." Clad in flashy gold jewelry, fur coats and fishnets, the dubious clique of girls make sure that they look intimidating as ever.
The 30-second video also includes the original movie's best line. Grace's Veronica can be heard saying, "F**k me gently with a chainshaw," as she watches the Heathers in awe and horror. The video concludes with someone falling down from the school roof.

"Heathers" has also taken to its official Instagram account to share a slew of pictures and videos, which give a closer look at the characters of the 10-part series. In a video for Heather Duke, he can be seen bullying Heather McNamara at Westernburg High School's canteen. "Sorry Heather, there's a dirty old bag in that seat," he says to stop her from taking a seat in front of him.
Heather Chandler, meanwhile, showcases her force as the leader of the Heathers in her video. "woke af. #Heathers," the account writes in the caption.
Heather McNamara is featured having a conversation with Heather Duke in a toilet. "Oh God, I just thought of something," she says, to which Heather Duke sarcastically responds, "Oh Heather, I really doubt it."
Jason Dean a.k.a. J.D.'s (James Scully) video offers a glimpse of a scene of dying Heather Chandler. She is featured falling down to the floor after getting choked. Somewhere in the video, J.D. is making out with Veronica as they sport Prince William and Kate Middleton masks.
The series goes eerie with Veronica's video. Veronica says in voiceover, "Dear diary, I hate all my friends. But it doesn't mean I want them dead," as some bloody scenes are glimpsed.
The upcoming anthology series chronicles the tale of two high school students, Veronica and J.D., who plot to murder the close-knit clan of Heathers while making their deaths appear as suicides.
"Heathers" will arrive sometime in 2018 on Paramount Network.
