Since the 'Sweet Escape' singer won't be back for the upcoming season 13 of the NBC show, people are wondering if she is considering to serve as a judge on 'American Idol'.

AceShowbiz - Is Gwen Stefani heading to ABC's "American Idol" reboot? Now that the "Hollaback Girl" singer has announced that she won't be back for season 13 of NBC's "The Voice", it most likely means that she is available for another gig, including being one of the judges on "American Idol".

During a recent interview with E! News, the 47-year-old star opens up about whether or not she's considered joining Katy Perry on the show's judge panel. "Umm that would be like, I don't know," Gwen shares.

E! News' Catt Sadler doesn't let her off the hook that easy as she adds, "What if Katy Perry calls you up and she's like, 'Girl, the money's right.' " Gwen, who reveals that she was "sad" when she realized she wouldn't be coming to new season of "The Voice", jokingly responds to the remark. "Well, she's got all the money," the girlfriend of Blake Shelton quips, referencing to the "Swish Swish" hitmaker's $25 million deal with the show.

It may be interesting to see Gwen among the judges, but Katy recently revealed who she wanted to judge with on the revived show. "I'm really pulling for Lionel [Lionel Richie] because I think Lionel is an icon," the "Bon Appetit" songstress said. She went on gushing, "And not only that, but if you've seen or ever met Lionel, he just knows how to charm the whole room and he's such an artisan with words… I love Lionel."

She also revealed that she wanted Charlie Puth to be sitting on the judge panel with her. "Charlie I think is an interesting play because Charlie Puth is somewhat new to the general public of America," Katy spoke of the "We Don't Talk Anymore" crooner. "He's a writer; he's a producer; he's young; he's fresh; he's cool; he's hip. He's Charlie Puth! He's just some fresh blood. Between Lionel and me, it would be nice to have someone a little bit even more fresh. We're a different kind of fresh."
