There is some bad blood between Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa's mother as the latter reportedly took her former daughter-in-law to court for $50,000 over defamation. The lawsuit stemmed from a "profanity-laced" phone call the supermodel made to her back on June 19.
Katie Wimbush-Polk claimed that Amber accused her of being an unfit grandmother. The buxom model also allegedly said that Katie was responsible for the death of Wiz's sister, Dorien. Thus, she was unfit to care for her grandson Sebastian, Amber and Wiz's 4-year-old son. Dorien passed away on February 20 after suffering from complications with lymphoma-a specific type of cancer involving cells in the immune system.
According to Katie's attorney, the call "impute(d) criminality, which is incompatible with her status as a grandmother and her status as a volunteer mentoring at-risk youth." Washington County Observer-Reporter further reported that Katie's 5-year-old niece initially answered the phone before Katie's friend, Daniel Lectic, gained control of the phone.
Katie alleged in the suit that Amber's remarks were personal attacks on her in the community, resulting in many people's resistance to work with her. The mother of the "See You Again" rapper was asking for upwards of $50,000 for legal costs, interest and several other punitive damages caused by the former Philadelphia stripper's comments.
