Kate Beckinsale has been dealing with a creep for the past few months. The 44-year-old actress caught the attention of an "overzealous" male fan named Terry Lee Rapp some time this year, and the 45-year-old man allegedly stalked her across the country and even threatened to stab her.
Fortunately, Terry was busted by Florida police when he attended Tampa Bay Comic-Con on Saturday morning, July 29. According to TMZ, police officers were instructed to look out for Terry, due to his sinister history with Kate. The cops then spotted Terry before Kate appeared for her Q&A panel at the event. He was arrested on the spot and booked at Hillsborought County Jail for stalking.
While Terry didn't make a contact with Kate this time, the "Total Recall" actress personally came to police station to file a report. Due to this incident, Kate was forced to postpone her appearance at the event. Her Q&A panel was eventually held at 6 P.M. later that day.
Police report obtained by the site shockingly revealed that Terry had been following and harassing the brunette beauty for at least a year. He was said to be making physical contact with her, caressing her back while threatening to stab her at an event in Salt Lake City back in 2016.
Authorities believe Terry has "an irrational obsession with the victim and has traveled across the country in an effort to harass her." The 45-year-old man is currently being held on $5,000 bond as police attempt to upgrade his charge to aggravated stalking and a felony, according to The NY Daily News.
