The yet-untitled spin-off follows the group of firefighters in a Seattle firehouse. The first episode of the series is set to be launched as a planted spin-off and air in one of "Grey's Anatomy" episodes this fall. The lead characters will be introduced in the episode before the spin-off launches in midseason.
"Grey's Anatomy" showrunner Stacy McKee serves as executive producer alongside Paris, Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. In addition to executive producing, Stacy will pen the script for the drama, which was ordered straight to series by ABC back in May.
Jaina played Detective Annalise Villa on FOX's "Rosewood", which was canceled after two seasons. In addition, her credits include USA Network's "Shooter" and Queen Latifah-starring "Girls Trip".
