AceShowbiz - Congratulations to Lionel Messi and Antonella Rocuzzo! The couple, who have known each other since they were children, got married in a star-studded ceremony held in their hometown of Rosario, Argentina on Friday, June 30.
Messi and Rocuzzo were all smiles as they graced the red carpet hand-in-hand. The 30-year-old athlete looked dapper in a black suit, while his bride looked stunning in Rosa Clara's sleeveless white gown. They later shared a sweet kiss in front of the cameras. At one point, they could be seen staring into each other's eyes with so much love.

Over 250 guests attended the wedding, including famous football stars like Xavi Hernandez, Sergio Busquets, Carles Puyol, Cesc Fabregas, Jordi Alba and Samuel Eto'o. They appeared to have boarded the same private jet to Rosario as they were spotted exiting the plane. Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez, as well as Gerard Pique and Shakira were also present.

Although the couple looked incredibly happy, it was said that the relationship between Rocuzzo and Messi's family had been strained for seven years. According to Daily Mail, the conflict began when Messi's mother Celia refused to acknowledge Rocuzzo as his son's girlfriend. " 'An Argentinian interviewer was talking to Messi's mom about her and her husband going over to South Africa to see Messi play,'" a source told the website. "He mentioned that Antonella was already there, and she declared, 'Antonella, Antonella, who's Antonella?' "
However, another insider close to his family denied the claims. "The relationship between the families is really good, they get on really well and that's why they are getting married today," the insider said. "Claims that they [are not getting along] are absolutely false. Last night, for example, there was a cocktail at the hotel where both families where having dinner together and talking to each other, laughing, making jokes."
