The dark pop songstress urged Quavo to apologize for his homophobic remarks and blasted Iggy for disregarding black culture.

Halsey apparently had a lot to say about Quavo. In a recent interview, the "Now or Never" hitmaker was asked about her collaboration with the member of Migos on her new single "Lie". The collaboration was rather unexpected, because Migos was known as homophobic group, while Halsey was openly bisexual and outspoken about LGBT empowerment.

Surprisingly, she defended him, claiming that he was just "misunderstood." She told The Guardian, "I think he's misunderstood. Just because I choose to be a socially conscious artist, and I'm pretty good at it, that doesn't mean every artist is going to be equipped to be politically correct. I don't think he's inherently homophobic, I think he's in tough place of trying to explain what he means. I agree his apology was bulls**t but I can't police everybody."

However, the 22-year-old singer later took to Twitter to clarify her statements about Quavo. She claimed that she didn't defend him in any way. "Honestly? I didn't know that Quavo had made homophobic comments when I collaborated him," she wrote. "We've never spoken a word to each other and I have no intention of pursuing a friendship there, unless he wants to make a legitimate apology."

During the interview, Iggy Azalea also got a shout-out. Halsey took a jab at the Australian rapper and she wasn't sorry for it. "There's a lot of people I wouldn't put on my record. Iggy Azalea: absolutely not," Halsey declared. "She had a complete disregard for black culture. F**king moron. I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me."
