'The 100' actor will portray an original character named Dr. Evan Declan, a human geneticist, on the upcoming ABC show.

AceShowbiz - Henry Ian Cusick has confirmed his role on the upcoming ABC "Marvel's Inhumans". Listed as original character Dr. Evan Declan on IMDB a few weeks ago, "The 100" actor finally spilled the beans about his role on the series centering on the Inhumans' Royal Family.

"I play a geneticist and his name is Dr. Evan Declan and he's human," Cusick recently told Cinema Blend. "I think that says quite a lot already, if you know the comics, you know where the Inhumans are coming from, so that's pretty much my character," he added.

Declan as a geneticist means that he can either hurt or help the Royal Family immensely. Revealed in the Marvel Cinematic in the second season of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", Inhumans are a group of humans that had previously been experimented on by the Kree, an alien race. As it is an original character and not taken from the comics, it is unclear if Declan will be the bad guy or good guy on the series.

A few days ago, the first "Marvel's Inhumans" trailer was leaked online. The trailer showed what appeared to be a coup d'etat, before Black Bolt (Anson Mount) arrived on Earth. There was a lot of fighting scenes as well as scenes where Black Bolt, who was wearing a suit possibly to adjust to the life on Earth, was being chased by police and unleashing his power.

Co-produced with IMAX, the Marvel-related series will be consisting of eight episodes. "Inhumans" follows the Royal Family of the Inhumans, a race of genetically advanced humans with extraordinary powers introduced in 1965 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Marvel's "Fantastic Four". After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

Starring Iwan Rheon, Serinda Swan, Isabelle Cornish, Sonya Balmores, Mike Moh and Ellen Woglom, "Inhumans" will screen for two weeks in IMAX theaters starting on Friday, September 1. It will be followed by its television debut on ABC this fall.
