"Marvel's Inhumans" is adding another actor to its cast while filming on the first season will wrap soon. Henry Ian Cusick, who is best known for his role as Desmond Hume on ABC's series "Lost", has landed a role on the upcoming ABC series.

According to IMDB, Cusick will play an original character named Dr. Evan Declan in six of the first season's eight episodes. While official description of the character is not available since it's not based on any existing comic book characters, it's believed that Cusick will play a human doctor or scientist who interacts with the Inhumans.

Cusick joins Anson Mount (King Black Bolt), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal) and Ken Leung (Karnak) who were earlier tapped for the show. He previously starred on ABC's "Scandal" and currently is a series regular on The CW's "The 100".

"Marvel's Inhumans" will follow the aftermath of a military coup that left the Royal Family of Inhumans splintered. They barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

"Inhumans" will screen for two weeks in IMAX theaters starting on Friday, September 1, before premiering on ABC on Friday, September 22.
