AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez finally started promoting her new single "Bad Liar" on June 5 with a series of radio interviews. In an interview with Sirius XM's "Morning Mashup", the former Disney darling opened up about her new single and her impression of Ariana Grande's "One Love Manchester" benefit concert.
The "Same Old Love" singer revealed that she was impressed with the concert, praising her friend Ariana and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber for delivering such amazing and touching performances. "It was beautiful. I thought everyone did such a beautiful job. It was so gorgeous. I love how she [Ariana Grande] ended it. I thought Justin did great, it was really beautiful," she shared.
Selena also teased some details about her new music. "We actually had the song for over a year," she said of her upcoming single. "I've been in the studio for over a year, so I've had this song for a while and all the new music that's coming is very different from the Kygo record to 'Bad Liar'. The next one is completely different. It's been fun. It's an evolution. I know it's different and I just wanted it to sound like something I've never done before."
While some fans might expect Selena's new song to feature her beau The Weeknd, the songstress recently confirmed that she didn't hit the studio together with her boyfriend. "I can't give those people what they want, I'm sorry. It's not true," she said. Although she didn't share the release date of her new album, Selena promised it would arrive soon.
