After going on hiatus for months, the 'Roar' singer is now back to the music scene with a brand new album and dates of an extensive world tour.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has a big year ahead of her. In anticipation of the release of her fifth studio album "Witness" on June 9, the "Firework" hitmaker has released three collaborative songs from the fifteen-track set. The upcoming LP’s lead single, "Chained to the Rhythm" featuring Skip Marley, was released in February. Perry performed it for the first time at the 59th Grammy Awards.

The second single titled "Bon Appetit" featuring Migos was released two months later in April, while the third single "Swish Swish" featuring Nicki Minaj followed shortly in May. Not wasting any time, Perry made the two songs’ TV debut on "Saturday Night Live" on May 20.

Even before the release, Perry has been ready to take her new album on the road by announcing the dates of "Witness: The Tour". She will embark on the North American leg of the tour in September through February 2018, before heading to the U.K. and Europe on May 23 to kick off the tour in Cologne, Germany and conclude it on June 25, 2018.

In addition, the 32-year-old singer has been confirmed as the first judge on "American Idol" reboot in 2018. She previously said in a statement, "I am honored and thrilled to be the first judge bringing back the 'American Idol' tradition of making dreams come true for incredible talents with authentic personalities and real stories."

Perry recently appeared at Ariana Grande's benefit concert "One Love Manchester" as one of the performers, joining the impressive lineup which included Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay and more. She delivered an emotional speech in tribute to the victims of terror attacks in the U.K. before rocking the stage with powerful performance of "Roar" and a heartfelt rendition of "Part of Me".
