Amber Portwood allegedly called off her engagement to Matt Baier after he failed a lie detector test about cheating rumors on Wednesday, May 10. The former "Teen Mom" star immediately sent Matt back to Indiana and told him to leave her house before she returned from Los Angeles.
According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Amber had been suspicious of Matt cheating on her for the past few weeks. Prior to this, a phone call recording was leaked by a woman who claimed to be in a relationship with Matt. Amber's close friends also gave Amber new information on Matt's affair.
Amber ended up demanding Matt to take a polygraph test to prove that he hadn't cheated on her. However, it was believed that Matt didn't pass the test. "Amber says he didn't pass. It was filmed by MTV, so it will all play out on 'Teen Mom'," a source close to Amber told Radar Online. "She is saying it's over," the source continued. "But they could get back together. They've gone through lots of ups and downs."
While Amber's close friends stated that Matt failed the test, his friends insisted that he passed the test "with flying colors." An insider said, "He didn't fail the lie detector test, he passed. They asked, 'Have you ever cheated with another woman?', 'Have you had inappropriate conversations with another woman?' and he passed."
Matt later confirmed that he did take a lie detector test, but they hadn't broken up. "No, we are not broken up," he told The Dirty. "I absolutely did take a lie detector test to once and for all prove to everybody I've never been unfaithful to Amber." Amber also told the website, "As of now, we are not broken up."
