The rapper promises refund after concertgoers are stranded and his luxury weekend festival in the Bahamas is canceled.

Ja Rule broke his silence after his Fyre Festival was called off. The event, originally promoted in a fancy ad featuring Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski as a luxury weekend concert in the islands of Exumas "once owned by Pablo Escobar" in the Bahamas, turned out to be a huge disaster.
Tickets ranged between $1,000-$12,000. Some VIP packages even reached $250,000. Revelers were promised A-list performers, luxury accommodations and gourmet meals, but many of they were stranded. They got shoddy tents to sleep in, bread and cheese to eat, and school bus for a ride instead.
On top of that, Blink-182 who was supposed to headline the event canceled their performance. "We're not confident we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give our fans," the band said. Other musical guests included Pusha T, Migos, Disclosure and Major Lazer.
"We are working right now on getting everyone off the island safely; that is my immediate concern," Ja Rule said on Twitter. "I'm heartbroken at this moment. My partners and I wanted this to be an amazing event. It was NOT A SCAM as everyone is reporting. I don't know how everything went so left but I'm working to make it right by making sure everyone is refunded. I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT...but I'm taking responsibility. I am deeply sorry to everyone inconvenienced by this."
The organizers announced, "Due to unforeseen and extenuating circumstances, Fyre Festival has been fully postponed. After assessing the situation this morning and looking at best options for our guests, we cannot move forward as we hoped we could. At this time, we are working tirelessly to get flights scheduled and get all travelers home safely."
The Bahamian Ministry of Tourism stated, "The event organizers assured us that all measures were taken to ensure a safe and successful event but clearly they did not have the capacity to execute an event of this scale. A team of Ministry of Tourism representatives is on the island to assist with the organization of a safe return of all Fyre Festival visitors. It is our hope that the Fyre Festival visitors would consider returning to the Islands Of The Bahamas in the future to truly experience all of our beauty."
