La La Vazquez decided to skip a trip with her gal pal, Kim Kardashian, because she was still hurting after splitting with her husband, Carmelo Anthony. She chose to be alone with her 10-year-old son, Kiyan Anthony.

HollywoodLife.com reported that the "Power" star was "invited to Mexico for the fiesta with Kim and the girls but didn't go because she didn't want to leave her son." An insider told the website, "Kiyan needs his mother more than ever right now. He needs her love and she needs his and that's where La La's head is right now."

"Things between her and Melo are still foul," the insider explained. "La La wouldn't have been in the best of spirits to be down in Mexico having fun. She's in a lot of pain. She's an emotional mess and she wouldn't want to ruin the girls' fun by moping around the beach thinking about how Melo did her dirty."

Carmelo and La La split after seven years of marriage, but didn't have plans to file for divorce yet. Carmelo allegedly impregnated a stripper prior to their breakup. A source revealed that the mistress of the 32-year-old NBA star is now six-and-a-half-month pregnant with his baby. The stripper was said having "made it clear to Melo she expects him to kick in for medical expenses and other baby related costs."

Kim Kardashian was believed to be the one urging La La to dump her husband. "La La knew about the cheating scandals and this pregnancy thing was the last straw," a source said. "Kim is her best friend and gave her the final push."

The source explained, "She has forgiven a lot but this time she had to leave. When a marriage isn't working you try to fix it. But when that doesn't work, Kim told her it was time to leave." According to the source, La La had been "talking with Kim several times a day since the split."
