AceShowbiz - Faye Dunaway has finally addressed the Oscar fiasco which involved him and co-presenter Warren Beatty last February. During an interview with anchor Lester Holt on "NBC Nightly News" on Monday, April 24, the veteran actress admitted that she was "very guilty" about the incident.

Dunaway wondered why she didn't see Emma Stone's name when she read the wrong card onstage. "I could have done something, surely. Why didn't I see Emma Stone's name on the top of the card?" said Dunaway.

Of Beatty, Dunaway said, "So he took the card out, and he didn't say anything. He paused. He looked over at me, [then] offstage. He looked around. And I finally said, 'You're impossible.' I thought he was joking. I mean, I thought he was stalling. Warren's like that. He kind of holds the power and makes people-a dramatic pause. But it's part of his charm."

When asked whether she felt stung by the mishap, Dunaway answered, "Yeah, completely. And we were, I won't say deer in the headlight but you are completely stunned. You don't know what has happened."

At the 89th Academy Awards, Beatty and Dunaway mistakenly announced "La La Land" for Best Picture, whereas the accolade was supposed to be presented to "Moonlight". Many people said that it was the biggest blunder in Oscar history. Earlier on, during an interview with Graham Norton, Beatty himself addressed the flub by saying, "I guess you could say it was chaos."

"La La Land" actor Ryan Gosling, meanwhile, had a light reaction towards the chaos. He was spotted giggling at the incident and when asked about the reason, Gosling said, "I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head. And then I just heard 'Moonlight' won and I was so relieved that I started laughing."
