Is Selena Gomez afraid of coming face-to-face with Bella Hadid at Coachella? Rumor has it, the former Disney darling wants Abel Tesfaye a.k.a. The Weeknd to protect her at the forthcoming music and arts festival as she's worried about who she will run into.
"Selena Gomez doesn't want to miss the wildest weekend of the year at Coachella, but she also doesn't want to run into her new boyfriend's ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid," so HollywoodLife.com reports. That's why, the "Spring Breakers" actress reportedly needs The Weeknd there to protect her.
"Selena [Gomez] wants to do Coachella and she wants The Weeknd to join her," a source tells the publication. "They are both huge fans of many of the artists there and she loves going to the music festival," the source continues. "All her friends will be there and she wants him to get to know them too."
"Selena wants Abel by her side there cause he makes her feel safe and secure," the insider explains. "With him by her side, Selena won't worry about who she will run into. She knows Gigi [Hadid] and Bella will probably be there and she's a little scared to be there without him."
This year's Coachella will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 14-16 and April 21-23. Radiohead will headline the annual show along with Lady GaGa and Kendrick Lamar. The Mother Monster replaces previously-announced headliner Beyonce Knowles due to the latter's pregnancy concerns.
