Philipps said that they ordered a single ride, not a shared one. She added that the driver was already strange right from the beginning, pulling up farther from they were. The moment she got into the car, she knew something was wrong.

"I say [to Marc], 'What's going on, are we about to get murdered?' " the "Cougar Town" actress recounted. "A man that we didn't know existed in the back seat pops up... and he was like, 'I promise that's not going to happen.' It was very creepy the way he chose to say it, even though he wasn't going to murder us, he made it seem like he might." The two eventually jumped out of the car to prevent possible incidents.

They contacted Uber after the ride, but didn't call the police. "I don't feel like the police would have been helpful," she said. A source from Uber told E! News that the couple reported the accident, saying that there was another man in a single ride they ordered. The company said that it was a violation of the rules, adding that they're currently looking into the incident.

Silverstein joined his wife and talked to the camera, "It was the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me." It was lucky of them to escape from the car without any injury. "I'm done with Uber. Never again. Never again!" Philipps vowed.
