Is Nicki Minaj dating Nas? That's what MediaTakeOut has reported. The pair, who first met in 2012 when Nas starred in the Young Money queen's music video for "Right By My Side", allegedly want to be more than just friends.
"Nicki and Nas have been close for a long time," a source tells the webloid. "When they worked together, Nicki was with [Meek Mill], and so nothing went down. But as soon as Nicki announced that she was single, Nas hit her up." While they're still "early in their relationship," Nicki allegedly has feelings for the 43-year-old rapper. Citing the source, the webloid claims that the couple will "make their debut" in SXSW at the Mass Appeal party on Thursday, March 16.
Rumors about their relationship comes after Remy Ma used Nas' beat for her Nicki diss track "ShETHER". Nas allegedly had taken down the song from the Internet because Remy used the beat without his permission. However, TMZ reported that it was Universal Music Publishing which had an issue with the track, and even banned the Bronx femcee from performing it live.
Nicki was previously reported having special relationship with Future. The Atlanta rapper has allegedly fallen for Nicki after seeing how strong and powerful she is amidst her on-going feud with Remy. "Future's so proud of his girl Nicki for coming from behind the door and blasting everyone like Remy and Meek, just like Al Pacino did in 'Scarface'," said a source. "He can't get enough of her!"
