FOX's 'X-Men' Pilot Casts Its Female Lead, Polaris and Another Character

Amy Acker will play Stephen Moyer's onscreen female counterpart while Emma Dumont and Percy Hynes White are tapped as Polaris and Andy respectively.
FOX has added three more stars to its "X-Men" pilot. Amy Acker joins the project as a female lead named Kate Stewart. She is struggling with her separation from her husband and her increasingly challenging teenage children. When her family situation takes a dark turn, she finds that she's stronger than she thinks.

Emma Dumont is tapped as Lorna Dane or better known as Polaris, a strong-willed, brave and loyal mutant who has the ability to manipulate magnetism. Percy Hynes White will play a character named Andy, a sensitive kid and bit of a loner who keeps to himself to avoid the turmoil he faces at school and at home.

The show follows two ordinary parents (played by Acker and Stephen Moyer) who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. "Gotham" actress Natalie Alyn Lind will play one of their kids.

They are joined by Jamie Chung as a mutant named Blink. Blair Redford and Sean Teale are set to play Sam and Marcos Diaz respectively. Sam is a strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network, while Marcos or Eclipse is a newly created mutant whose ability is to absorb and manipulate photons.
