Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits after nearly a year of dating. The couple, who was said to start dating in early March last year, is taking a break from their once-blooming relationship, according to a new report from Us Weekly.
In a statement obtained by the publication, both reps for the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer and the 40-year-old actor say, "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."
Katy and Orlando were last seen together at the recent Vanity Fair Oscars party. They came to the Sunday, February 26 bash separately, though. As previously reported, the 32-year-old singer was accompanied by her pal, fashion writer Derek Blasberg, when she arrived at the party.
Perry and Bloom looked happy that night while posing together for a photo. However, an onlooker said at the time that they "didn't spend much time" together at the bash. "Katy didn't spend much time with Orlando," revealed the source. "They got together for a photo, but that was about it."
