Zedd doesn't seem to be slowing down. After working with Selena Gomez, Lady GaGa and Hailee Steinfeld for some hit singles, the Russian-German DJ taps rising star Alessia Cara for his newest single titled "Stay".

The funky EDM track features a cool chorus of robot voices that blend perfectly with Alessia's powerful yet unique vocals. Meanwhile, Zedd gives the track full of bounce with hand tapped percussion and future bass-influenced drop.

On the three-and-a-half-minute song, Alessia begs her love interest to stay, singing, "Waiting for the time to pass you by/ Hope the winds of change will change your mind/ I could give a thousand reasons why/ And I know you, and you've got to." The song comes with an atmospheric lyric video that shows the sun rising over a bunch of huge mirrors in a desert landscape.

Zedd first met Alessia at rehearsals for the HALO awards, where he, Daya and the 20-year-old singer performed together. From there, the two started working together on "Stay". "I think this song is right in the middle between where Alessia is musically and where I am and that's what's so exciting about it," said Zedd in a press release.

Alessia, meanwhile, said that though the melody stepped away from her usual tune, the song "still feels like me, just an elevated pop song." She continued, "I don't know that I would be in this bold on my own stuff so it's cool to try these things with collaborators."
