AceShowbiz - A new teaser for "The Vampire Diaries" series finale has been released by The CW. The 10-second video offers a glimpse of Nina Dobrev, who returns as Elena Gilbert in the final episode of the series.

The very brief teaser shows Elena looking a little confused as she's back at Mystic Falls high school. "What happened?" says Elena, wondering why she's woken up so soon. "Why am I here right now?"

As fans might know, Elena had willingly put herself in a decade-long sleep in order for Bonnie (Katerina Graham) to live out her life in season six finale. So, as long as Bonnie's alive, Elena would remain asleep, hidden away in a coffin.

Titled "I Was Feeling Epic", the series finale will air on Friday, March 10 at 8 P.M. on The CW. The last episode of the series is written by showrunner Julie Plec and co-creator Kevin Williamson.

"I'm thrilled to bring this show to an end the way we always intended, with Nina back to help us say goodbye," said Plec in a statement, announcing Nina's return. Williamson added, "I'm so excited to have Nina back to ensure our farewell episode is truly epic!"
