"Are you ready to risk your life for Ninjago?" Following the short preview and photos released on Tuesday, February 8, "The Lego Ninjago Movie" has now released its first official trailer. The trailer offers a look at the hilarious war between ninjas from City of Ninjago and an evil lord named Garmadon (voiced by Justin Theroux).

The video opens with a just-married couple trying to escape from a chaos in City of Ninjago. The groom's leg is stuck to the ground and the bride amusingly responds, "I know you want me to save myself, so, I promise I'll never forget you." She leaves the groom who says, "I didn't ask you to promise that." Without the groom knowing, a huge robot behind him is about to step on him.

The trailer later teases Garmadon's attack on the city. People are frightened and trying to save themselves. Enters Lloyd Garmadon (voiced by Dave Franco), a ninja and Garmadon's son who bravely fights against Garmadon's men. Garmadon says, "You ready for me to conquer Ninjago?" And Lloyd answers, "Oh I'll be waiting, Dad." Lloyd tells Garmadon that his father has ruined his life, but Garmadon insists that he doesn't ruin Lloyd's life at all, as he is never a part of it.

Lloyd and his friends are trained by Master Wu (voiced by Jackie Chan), who says, "I've taken a solemn oath, to form a secret ninja force. Are you ready to risk your life for Ninjago?" Lloyd and his friends proudly say yes, except for one, who answers, "Maybe."

A hilarious scene occurs when Garmadon threatens Lloyd that he will put him down, only Garmadon says it via cellphone. At the end of the trailer, Lloyd's friends cheer him up by telling him that nobody's parents are perfect.

"The Lego Ninjago Movie" is set to hit U.S. theaters on September 22. The Danish-American animated action comedy is directed by Charlie Bean and based on the Lego Ninjago toy line. Also starring alongside Theroux, Franco and Chan in the movie are Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Pena and Zach Woods.
