Jason Derulo is blasting American Airlines after he got some check-in trouble at Miami International Airport on Wednesday, February 8. The "Talk Dirty" hitmaker was confronted by 15 cops at the airport after he and his eight friends were told that they couldn't check their nearly 20 bags.
Jason claimed in a video obtained by TMZ that he's a Concierge Key member, but the AA staffer was rude and told him he couldn't check his bags. As Jason and his crew would have arrived too late to check the bags, a member of his team stayed behind and tried checking the bags on a later flight.
Jason and his crew were on the plane, when the guy with the bags called the rapper and said that AA wanted to charge him $6,000 for the excess luggage. The "Wiggle" singer then got angry and demanded the plane to return to the gate so he could get off. He said the pilot went nuts on him and he was confronted by cops as he got off.
Jason later took to Instagram to accuse AA of racism, writing, ".@americanair I spent millions on your airline throughout the past ten years between myself and my entire staff but have still experienced racial discrimination today at miami airport!!!"
"Called 15 police officers on me as if I'm a criminal! It's not ok that when you find out who I am the gears change! A source at AA reveals that the airlines' most elite customers receive 3 free checked bags, but Jason left one of his friends to check 19 bags.
