Selena Gomez begins working on new music. A screengrab circulating on Twitter shows that the former Disney Channel star has apparently registered a track titled "It Ain't Me" with American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

According to multiple sources, the new track is co-written by Norwegian DJ Kygo and trio behind DJ Snake and Justin Bieber's "Let Me Love You", Brian Lee, Ali Tamposi and Andrew Watt. Though registering a song is not a guarantee that it will end up on an album, Selena's fans still consider it as a welcome first step after the singer canceled her "Revival" tour last year.

The 24-year-old pop star had to cancel the rest of her tour due to health issues. She announced she's taking some time off to focus on her physical and mental health as a result of her lupus. "I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges," she told PEOPLE. "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off."

Selena has been steadily working on new materials. She has a duet with Mexican pop diva Paulina Rubio and has spent time in the studio with The Futuristics, Danish songwriter Jonas Jeberg and rapper Jacob Kasher. She also has a collaboration with DJ Jax Jones on a song titled "This Is Real". In addition, she was reportedly working on "very sexy music" with her rumored beau The Weeknd. "They started hanging as friends and it became romantic. They're working on very sexy music, so it spilled over," a source said.
