"Game of Thrones" and "Hacksaw Ridge" were among the first names announced as winners at the 2017 Screen Actor Guild Awards held on Sunday, January 29. The George R. R. Martin series and the Mel Gibson-directed flick won awards for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series and in a Motion Picture, respectively.

"Game of Thrones" beat out fellow nominees "Marvel's Daredevil", "Marvel's Luke Cage", "The Walking Dead" and "Westworld". "Hacksaw Ridge", meanwhile, was nominated alongside "Captain America: Civil War", "Doctor Strange", "Jason Bourne" and "Nocturnal Animals". The winners were announced before the live ceremony.

Later on the live show, "Orange Is the New Black" nabbed an award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Viola Davis took home an award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, while Mahershala Ali won the male supporting actor category.

Other winners included Julia Louis-Dreyfus and William H. Macy who brought home awards for Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series by a Female and Male Actor, respectively.
