We already know that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are no longer an item. But details about their shocking breakup didn't emerge until recently, when TMZ reported that the pair had an explosive fight during their vacation in Turks and Caicos to celebrate the raptress' 34th birthday last month.
According to the news outlet, Nicki got super pissed at Meek because he was too busy hanging out with his friends and failed to give her the attention she wanted. When she confronted him, he was mad and left the island without her. The romance ended with Nicki telling her then-boyfriend, "Screw this."
TMZ also cleared up rumors that a woman named Sonye Rasool had anything to do with Nicki and Meek's split. Previously, the MMG rapper was said to cheat on his girlfriend with Sonye, and the affair was what set Nicki off.
However, Sonye has denied the cheating speculations. A source close to her said that she and Meek did hook up, but it happened long before he began dating Nicki. Now, she's reportedly ready to file defamation lawsuits against some outlets who claimed that she was behind Omeeka's breakup.
After weeks of speculation, Nicki confirmed via a tweet earlier this month that she's not with Meek anymore. "To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u," so she wrote.
