AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa belted out an acoustic version of "Perfect Illusion" during an appearance on 97.1 AMP Radio on Monday, October 3. The Mother Monster substituted the Mark Ronson, BloodPop and Kevin Parker-produced disco-rock song for a piano.

During the interview, GaGa discussed her upcoming album "Joanne", saying it "has a lot of different vibes on it." She added, "There's country, there's folk on it, there's dance on it, funk, there's rock, there's a lot of pop...pop songs with all these different influences of music. What I wanted to do was bring all different types of people together, that love different things. And have somebody that didn't think they could normally be friends with somebody that loves country music be friends with them."

The "Poker Face" singer also talked about her upcoming Super Bowl performance. "When you play in a big arena-which is wonderful-or in a stadium, I've done that before a lot too and it's just an incredible and amazing rush, it feels good for you as a performer, maybe, but for the audience, they're a lot farther away from you."

GaGa will bring some special guests onstage at next year's halftime show. "The best way to push the envelope is with your guts and your talent," she shared, "And then you also want to push the envelope in terms of your creativity and your music and taking the show to the next level, but I don't know if it's the place to push the envelope in other ways. In some ways, I want to lightly lick the envelope, hop inside, close it, write my name on it, and the thing is that I really just want to be there for football fans because that's what I'm hired to do."

In another interview with E! News, GaGa admitted "Perfect Illusion" was inspired by Taylor Kinney. "I would just say that my music on my album as well as all my albums is inspired by my personal life and this one more than others," she said, "I have said it before-I love Taylor so much and he's my best friend."

"This video is a performance of a song that I wrote of that moment about how I feel, but how I'm sure he's felt sometimes, how you have felt sometimes, how other people feel in relationships, how I see my friends struggle and become just full of rage and anger as they try to figure out how to date during a time when everybody's sort of creating these perfect illusions of themselves on the Internet and nobody really knows what's real and what isn't," she explained the music video, "It's about all of that."

GaGa wanted the music video to be "really pure and really honest." She explained, "Nothing was choreographed. I didn't rehearse any of those things that you see in the video. Everything in that was just completely in the moment-pure, raw performance of how I feel."

"The intention was there to be no perfect illusions in the video about perfect illusions," she continued, "It's so beautiful in that way. I love that opening shot in the video when it's just a silent light pouring through the hands of the fans as they're all dancing and nobody has a cell phone in their hands and everybody's got a little dirt on them and it's something that we don't do anymore."
