NFL denies Lady GaGa has been confirmed to headline the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show. While confirming that they have been in talks with "several fantastic artists", the NFL is very clear that they have NOT yet made a decision.

Natalie Ravitz, the senior VP of Communications for the NFL, took to Twitter on Sunday, September 18 to say that they had not yet made a final decision on who would headline next year's Super Bowl. "@usweekly ignored my on record response: we've had conversations w several fantastic artists about SB Halftime Show but no final decision," she wrote.

Previously, Us Weekly cited a source as claiming that GaGa was "officially signed on" to perform at the 51st annual football championship event at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017.

In other news, GaGa said in an interview with iHeartRadio's "On Air With Romeo" that it was actually her label who chose "Perfect Illusion" as the lead single of her new album "Joanne". The song debuted at No. 1 on iTunes when it was released last week, but it has since gone out of the top 40 on the chart.

She shared, "I actually didn't choose it. I write the music and make the music and sing music, but I didn't choose the single. The single was chose by, you know, the record label and a lot of people that work with me. We all decided as a team and together that we liked it as the first song."
